Rigging

Delivery & Rigging

Delivery & Pickup

You might think that running Crystal, Bedrock, or Hance rapid is one of the most challenging parts of a motorized Grand Canyon river trip. However, just getting a motor rig to Lee’s Ferry can be far more stressful for someone not acquainted with the logistics and challenges. Such a task requires Grand River Rigs to operate as a Private motor carrier with required insurance and for the driver to have a Commercial Driver License. In addition, Grand River Rigs is subject to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier safety administration) oversight and required to stop at all ports of entry with an Oversized Permit. We have procedures in place to overcome any issues of a mechanical nature that might happen on the way to Lee’s Ferry. Making sure that your launch day goes smoothly is our top priority.

Rigging & De-rigging

Unloading, rigging, de-rigging,  loading:  "O my, that's a lot of work!"  Once we get the rental equipment to the destination, we make sure to stay and set up for you. We have loaded and unloaded our rigs dozens of times so we know how to do it quickly, efficiently, and correctly. Then, once your adventure is over, we'll tear down the rigs and take it off your hands. Our goal is to focus on the setup and take down of all the equipment so that you only have to worry about having the adventure of a lifetime. Make your river adventure more enjoyable and let us do all the work.
